How will the next generation read and write?

I believe that the next generation will read and write all electronically. Some schools have already started requiring iPads and/or providing iPads to each student or classroom. I think this is an indication of what is to come in the near future. Even now most people communicate through text or e-mail. It has become very popular to use e-books instead of purchasing the regular text book. Eventually I think that will be the only option. Computers are essential to learning in college and I feel that will eventually be true for all grades. Over all I think that technology such as the iPhone or iPad will be how future generations read and write.

What do I know and think about integrating technology in the classroom?

Technology in the classroom can be a wonderful thing. It gives the teacher the opportunity to access so much more with the kids. Smart Boards I feel are a wonderful tool. You can get so much hands on experience with a Smart Board. A teacher can make jeopardy games to help with review and many other games that are geared toward learning. This allows the kids to be hands on and nothave to remain seated the whole class. I do not feel there is much of a down side with technology in the classroom, other than when technology fails us that can be frustrating.
